The Phokki Concept

Phokki is an online platform that builds on the concept of styles. Styles are defined as a distinctive manner of expression of an artwork. Examples are pop art style by Andy Warhol, Cubism by Picasso and Post Impressionism by Van Gogh.

Of course, everyone has his or her own unique style and we like the world to see and appreciate it. That is to let customers have their artworks done in the artist’s unique style.

With Phokki, you can create your very own unique style and offer to customers, at your own price or for free. If you only want to share your style and not do anything, that is welcome as well.

If you are an artist who would like to offer your service but do not have a unique style to contribute at the moment, you can start following an existing style and offering the service based on that style.

Create New Style

Preparation work

You will need to prepare 2 images in JPEG or PNG format

• 1) Original image – the original image prior to styling
• 2) Styled image – This is the final artwork done

Size and Resolution of the Photos

Both the images are the same in size and dimension. The resolution is to be at least 72 dpi with the minimum dimension as below.

You are required to upload only photo and artworks owned and done by you. Phokki respect copyrights and will take serious action against plagiarism.

Ready to submit your unique Style?

Click on the “Create new Style” on the My Styles page of your dashboard.

You will be presented with a form to submit your new style (see below).

What is Production Time?

Production time is the estimated time you will need to complete an artwork for the buyer using your unique style.

Deliver on time

It is crucial to set a duration that you are confident to complete the work, as you do not wish to disappoint the buyer. He or she may be waiting to give this as a birthday gift for someone very important.

Building your credibility

Phokki will also reflect all statistics to future buyers to help them in their purchasing decision. E.g. if you always deliver the final artwork within the production time, other potential buyers will trust you for their works.

What is Pricing?

You can set your own pricing for your service. Phokki as a platform will take commission of 30% for each transaction, and the rest is for you to keep. However, if you decide to do it purely for passion and not going to charge, Phokki will not charge any commission fee as well.

What is Royalty?

As the founder of a new style, you may set royalty commission paid to you by any artists who wishes to offer styling service using your style.

Note: Phokki encourages creativity among the artists and also seek to help make this space as transparent as possible. We urge you to browse through the gallery and other artists’ styles before creating a new style. This will lessen duplication of the same styles in the portal.

Offer your talent for an existing style

If you feel impressed by a style of another artist and wish to offer one on your own, you can do so by following that style.

Benefits to you

• A popular style may be overwhelmed with the demand, you can come in to offer your work and quickly earn a source of income.
• Buyers are queuing up to order. You are helping them to reduce the waiting time.
• You gain recognition much faster by doing so.

Step A - Browse through a list of styles, and start Following!

Visit the gallery and browse through the styles created by other artists. Once you see a style that you would like to offer, click on the “I’d like to offer this style too!”

You will be brought to the join style submission page.

Step B - Create and upload a sample artwork

Create and submit the original photo and styled artwork that you have done based on the selected style. This will help the buyer to see your talent.

Step C - Set your production details and start!

Set the production time you will need to complete the artwork and the price you will be offering for your service.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much should I charge for the work?

Phokki do not set any constraint to how much you will like to offer. We will let you decide how much you want to charge your buyer.
